We want to take this opportunity to thank you for your support over the last 9 weeks. The challenges posed by remote distance learning were felt by us all. As we navigated through this uncharted territory, it became clearer than ever that the partnerships built between student, parents, and teachers are essential to productivity and positive progress. We sincerely appreciate all you have done to make this possible.
We will continue to communicate important information as it arises and look forward to opening up the campus to our wonderful Archway Anthem|Anthem Prep school community in August.
Have a happy and healthy summer break!
Archway Admin Team

It is with sadness that we announce the departure of Mrs. Shefali Kubavat from her role as Office Manager and Enrollment Coordinator. Mrs. Kubavat started with Anthem Prep | Archway Anthem as a TA in 2011, and was promoted to a third grade teaching position in 2012, then a fifth grade teaching position in 2013.
At the start of the 2016 school year, Mrs. Kubavat became Anthem Prep | Archway Anthem’s beloved Office Manager and Enrollment Coordinator. She has welcomed many new families to our school with her positive and upbeat demeanor and grace.
We are excited for Mrs. Kubavat’s future as she has accepted a new position at Great Hearts’ Corporate Offices in the finance department.
We are grateful for her many years of service to our school community, and look forward to the great work she will be doing at Great Hearts.
Do you want to learn more about our classical liberal arts curriculum? You can join our Great Hearts teachers for an enriching conversation on Euclid, Homer, Plato, Thucydides, and more! This Summer, the Academy for Classical Teachers is hosting our seminars and courses online.

It is with a heavy heart that we must cancel our prom on Saturday, June 6. The facility where we had hoped to host prom is not able to book the event due to restrictions that are still in place. In addition to this, it appears we would have to observe social distancing guidelines during the event – and that would have made for very awkward dancing.
Rather than reschedule again, we felt it best to focus our attention on the upcoming graduation and the celebration of our seniors’ achievements.
However, we are happy to announce that Prom 2021 has been scheduled to coincide with the spring break of several local universities – universities at which many of our current seniors are enrolled. So, seniors, please save the date of Saturday, March 20, 2021! As we get closer to the event, we look forward to sharing with you the plans being made.
For those who have paid via our payment portal, please allow 7 to 10 business days for the refund to process. For those who have paid via check, your checks have been voided and shredded.
Thank you for your grace and understanding.

AP works hard to provide students with the opportunity to enjoy the high school athletic experience while continuing to prioritize academics. As you know, our budget does not afford us the luxury of employing full-time medical staff. While we contract athletic trainers for required events, we are always looking for additional opportunities to both minimize injuries and manage injuries should they occur.
This year we are excited to partner with Remote Movement Solutions (RMS). Troy Merckle is the owner of RMS and is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a certified strength coach through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Troy brings over 22 years of experience working with athletes from the high school to professional level. Troy is also a member of our school family as he has 2 daughters that have attended AP. Please click on the video link introducing Troy Merckle: TROY MERCKLE
RMS will be providing virtual injury screens for our athletes and will be hosting virtual educational webinars covering subjects such as managing injuries and injury prevention. We encourage our athletes, parents, and coaches to attend. RMS has also agreed to be available to our coaches to discuss items such as periodized strength and conditioning programs, dynamic warm-ups, and flexibility programs. Please use these two forms to sign up for RMS services which are included in your sport’s fee: RMS Medical History Form and RMS Consent Form. These forms and all other forms are available under the “more” tab at anthemprepathletics.com. For more information on our partnership with RMS, please see the attached PowerPoint slides by clicking on: RMS POWERPOINT.

Great Hearts has changed our volunteer approval process for the 2020/2021 school year. If you would like to be an approved volunteer for school year 2020/2021, or if you were a previously approved volunteer through a fingerprint background check, please click on the link below. All volunteers, regardless of previously-approved status, are required to apply through the Raptor system. It should only take 10 minutes to fill out the information. You will receive an answer from our Raptor system within 48 hours. The cost is $5.00. All volunteers must be approved through this process; there are no exceptions.
Please note, when selecting the school it will not separate Archway and Prep (except Scottsdale). For Anthem Prep | Archway Anthem, please choose “Great Hearts – Anthem.” The system will approve you for both schools. You can choose multiple campuses if that applies to your family.
As you complete the online application, please note that you will be asked to choose what volunteer position in which you are interested. Choosing a volunteer position does not restrict you from volunteering in another capacity.
If you have any questions or concerns you can reach out to John Lund, Great Hearts Safety Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to seeing you on campus next year!
